Helicopter EMS Accident Scene Safety Training - Improving EMS Safety

Landing Zone Safety Organization

Minneapolis - Minnesota, November 07, 2018

The new safety courses at Landing Zone Safety Organization (LZSO) are revolutionizing helicopter safety around the country. In the past there has been no reliable recurrent training regarding helicopter safety available to first responders. To remedy this lack of easily accessible training, LZSO has created online courses to enhance the safety of scene landing zone and helipad operations.

EMS first responders, including firefighters, police officers, and ambulance personnel, can now fulfill continuing education credits, and/or improve their knowledge with LZSO’s online courses. The educational content focuses on best safety practices for both scene and helipad operations in the field. The easy to understand and user friendly courses provide an abundance of valuable information concerning safety around helicopters, and are conveniently available online.

“All in all I thought it was very good training and I can legitimately say I learned things I had never previously thought about with regards to helicopters and crash zones. I appreciate the work you have put into this and would gladly support this being completed by people within my agency.” - A Minnesota peace officer.

Improving safety around helicopters has never been easier or more affordable. Online classes only take about an hour and are a great addition to any safety training program for EMS professionals and hospital staffers.

Safety through knowledge.
