QuickCollar Pro™: A Sea Change in Rescuer Safety and Water Rescue Effectiveness

Now Available for Pre-Sale | Shipping Begins February 2026

Lone Tree - Colorado, January 14, 2026

For thousands of years, water rescues have relied primarily on two tools: rope throw bags and life rings. While proven, their fundamental and well-known limitations have remained largely unchanged.

That ALL changes in February 2026 with the release of the QuickCollar Pro™—the most versatile and rescuer-friendly water rescue device ever developed.

The QuickCollar Pro™ is designed to significantly reduce rescuer exposure while improving outcomes across a broad range of water rescue operations, including flood, river and canal, swiftwater, ice, bridge, and drone-assisted rescues. Because no two rescues are ever the same, the system is modular, adaptable, and built for extreme operational environments.

System Overview

The QuickCollar Pro™ is a modular rescue system consisting of:

  • A rope throw bag containing 75 ft. of ¼-inch Spectra® water rescue rope with integrated throw handle
  • A separate auto-inflatable, cinchable rescue collar housed in its own deployment bag with throw handle
  • Both bags nested and secured together, with the rope continuous between them

For short throws and bridge drops, the system deploys as a single integrated unit. For long throws, the bags quickly separate, allowing the 2-lb. collar bag to be thrown independently while remaining connected to the rescuer via the rope.

For drone delivery, the collar bag detaches and connects directly to a drone release mechanism using the integrated steel O-ring. When required, the collar can also be deployed untethered by detaching it from the rope at the harness D-ring, allowing rapid delivery by drone or hand throw.

Upon contact with the water, the patented rescue collar automatically inflates in approximately three seconds, providing 25 lbs. of buoyancy. When cinched around the chest, it can safely and—when needed—lift most patients clear of the water without the rib-crushing forces common in many collars.

The complete QuickCollar Pro™ system is rated at over 2,000 lbs. breaking strength. The inflatable collar is fully encapsulated in a high-tech polyester sailcloth fabric that is both abrasion- and puncture-resistant, ensuring durability in harsh rescue environments. The outer dry bag is made of the same fabric.

History of the QuickCollar Pro™

The original QuickCollar (v1.0) was developed specifically for short-haul rescues conducted by San Diego County Sheriff helicopters not equipped with electric hoists. Following a challenging mountain ice rescue that received regional media attention, interest quickly expanded among local water rescue teams and first responders.

Over the years, extensive field feedback from water rescue professionals drove numerous design evolutions and refinements, resulting in a smaller, more versatile, and highly adaptable system.

The result: faster deployments, fewer rescuer entries into the water, and safer, more controlled rescue operations. Simple to deploy—even by non-specialists—the QuickCollar Pro™ is mission-critical equipment for fire/rescue, law enforcement, SAR, and special operations vehicles at all levels of government.
