QuickCollar Completes Groundbreaking Short-Haul Water Rescue Drone Simulation
Lone Tree - CO, June 12, 2026
QuickCollar Inc. is proud to announce the successful completion of a high-capacity short-haul simulation featuring the QuickCollar Pro water rescue device. The May 29 trial demonstrated the device's ability to safely transport a 220-pound simulated rescue subject, portrayed by a professional firefighter, over a distance of 50 yards while suspended three to five feet above the ground by a heavy-lift drone.
The simulation provided critical data regarding both mechanical performance and subject comfort. The pilot reported that the aircraft maintained exceptional responsiveness and maneuverability under the substantial load. Simultaneously, the test subject reported no discomfort during the lifting and transport phases, validating the ergonomic design of the QuickCollar Pro during aerial extraction.
“This test demonstrates the viability of using large-scale drones to directly rescue victims by lifting them clear of hazardous water conditions and transporting them to safety,” said a company spokesperson. “While additional testing is planned, we have successfully validated the concept of drone-assisted swiftwater rescue.”
The QuickCollar Pro continues to establish itself as one of the most versatile, durable, and compact water rescue devices available. Its utility extends across multiple deployment platforms, proving equally effective when used with helicopters and drones as it is in the hands of swiftwater technicians and other ground-based first responders.
